THE FINANCE EXECUTIVE  (1987-1999)
Frankie brings with him a repertoire of life skills and extraordinary career experiences. A highly demanding first career of 13 years as a foreign currency team head with local and foreign banks like DBS, Bank of Montreal and Barclays Capital has provided him with the insights, intuition and illuminations of coaching highly talented and successful executives and professionals to produce extraordinary performance results.

His diverse cultural experiences working in the various financial institutions have given him a head start in understanding the impact of organizational values in the motivation of an executive. In working with his client on career management goals, Frankie seeks to discover the importance of shared values, developmental goals and leadership engagement with the executive.

Given that successful trading requires multi-dimensional skills like critical analysis and consulting, forward thinking, flexible and quick decision making, Frankie is able to empathize with his clientele of talented executives who have to face and grapple with insightful, vision minded and quick decision making challenges often on a daily basis.

THE CAREER AND EXECUTIVE COACH  since 2000
In 1999, Frankie incredibly did an 180˚ turn and transitioned into a performance coach. Through a series of psychometric tests and with help from his coach, he uncovered the abilities of writing, consulting, speaking and people developing. From his school days of debating and writing schools’ newsletters, he polished the innate skills and grew in his passion to be a coach.

He has been involved with coaching since it was introduced in Singapore in1998. At that time, he founded The Inspiring Edge to train and coach middle level and senior executives from both local and multinational companies. Some of his previous clients included UBS where he facilitated Centre for Creative Leadership’s 360 Feedback Tool and Defence Science & Technology Agency where he conducted leadership training programmes.

He had written numerous articles which were published in Straits Times and other journals and was a frequent speaker in many business organisations.  Frankie’s clients love his coaching style which is intense and fun, challenging and provoking, stretching and expanding and forward looking! To those who know him well, Frankie is intensely creative and entrepreneurial, purposefully revolutionary and unconventional and passionately sensitized and vision minded.

He is a natural people’s developer who enjoys bringing out the best in others as evident in the achievements of his corporate executive wife (Asia financial services director of a US Telecom MNC) and eldest son (aged 16 who attended the gifted programme). He has two other wonderful children aged 8 and 7 years old respectively.  Frankie truly believes that living an authentic life based on one’s values, abilities and vision can generate rewarding and fulfilling success in the person’s personal and professional lives.
